Yoichiro Hayashi, the senior operating officer of Oiles Corporation, Uemura Yukiharu, the general manager of Shanghai Oiles Bearing Inc., and Jenny Liu, the management department director of Shanghai Oiles Bearing Inc., came to the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Institute (LICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on February 7.

They first paid a visited to Prof. XUE Qunji, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the academic committee of the LICP. And accompanied by Prof. LIU Weimin, director of the LICP and Prof. CHEN Jianmin, director of the R&D Center of Lubricating and Protecting Materials of the LICP, they then visited the exhibition room, State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication and R&D Center of Lubricating and Protecting Materials.

During their visit, Yoichiro Hayashi also delivered a lecture about Oiles, its products and their application. He introduced the history of Oiles, its self-lubricating bearings and their application in various fields, and application of seismic isolation devices produced by Oiles in 2011 Tohoku earthquake.

Oiles Corporation is a world leader in the field of self-lubricating bearings. It has had close cooperation with LICP. In recent years, Oiles has developed several high performance self-lubricating bearings which can be applied in aviation, automobiles, high speed railways, hydropower stations, etc.
