Professor Xiaobo Wang, born in 1976, and received a bachelor's degree in chemistry at Henan University in China in 1990. He joined Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences after 1990, and obtained his PhD here in physical chemistry on a study of the preparation and tribochemistry of nano-materials in 2004. Since 2004, he started to work at State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication (LSL), Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics. In 2008, he was promoted to a professor. His current research interests are the designs, preparations, triboloigcal behavior and mechanisms of novel materials, and the development of high-performance lubricating oils and greases. Up to now, he has published more than 20 papers and obtained 8 Chinese Patents.
